Olympia Flood Aid
Our Farmers - Our Food - Our Family
About Us
Olympia Flood Aid began over a couple of drinks the evening after the flood began. A couple of friends sitting around trying to grasp what was happening realized that the farms we get our food from were under water. We thought of the food then the farmers and realized we had an obligation to help not only the farms but the farmers, some who lost near everything.

The next day the call went out over Myspace and the response was overwhelming. Immediately we had enough bands and interested folk to start a committee.

Olympia Flood Aid is not just an event but an organization dedicated to bringing continued awareness though events all year long. Long after the public memory has faded we will be reminding folks of the ongoing plight of these farms and their laborers who will need the continued support.

These people deserve not only help but respect for a tradition of working the Earth in order to supply the needs of others. We owe them for filling our bellies through tireless work for often small returns.
